El pasado 24 de junio, el terremoto en Venezuela destruyó mi departamento en el Bloque 1 de La Páez, Catia la Mar y perdimos todas nuestras pertenencias. Aunque el mayor milagro fue encontrar a mi mamá con vida, hoy nos enfrentamos a una nueva emergencia: la casa de mi mamá en Playa Verde acaba de recibir etiqueta roja por fallas estructurales y riesgo inminente de derrumbe. Nos hemos quedado sin hogar. Hoy pido tu apoyo para evacuar sus pertenencias, pagar un depósito temporal y conseguir un lugar seguro donde volver a empezar. ¡Cualquier ayuda o difusión suma! Los pasados días han sido los más difíciles e inciertos de nuestras vidas. El 24 de junio, el terremoto que azotó Catia La Mar cambió todo en un segundo: perdimos nuestro apartamento en el Bloque 1 de La Páez. En medio del caos, también fuimos víctimas del robo de todos nuestros equipos electrónicos y enseres básicos. Sin embargo, en medio del dolor, ocurrió lo más importante: logré encontrar a mi mamá con vida ese mismo día y ponerla a salvo con mi novio en Caracas. Pensábamos que lo peor había pasado y que al menos la casa de mi mamá en Playa Verde serviría como refugio, ya que a simple vista parecía intacta. Lamentablemente, hace solo dos días las autoridades realizaron la inspección oficial y nos entregaron la noticia que jamás esperamos: la casa fue catalogada con ETIQUETA ROJA. Las bases estructurales sufrieron daños severos, el terreno al frente sufrió un deslizamiento importante y dos edificios colindantes están en riesgo inminente de colapsar sobre la vivienda. Permanecer allí ya no es una opción; es un peligro mortal.
