Levanta

Terms of use

Last updated: July 23, 2026

These terms explain what Levanta is, what it is not, and the rules that make trust possible between families, donors and organizations.

1. What Levanta is

A platform for people and families affected by an emergency to document their situation, validate it in layers (evidence, neighbors, organizations) and receive direct support. It is active today for the June 24, 2026 earthquake in Venezuela.

2. What Levanta is NOT

It is not an emergency or rescue service. It does not replace official channels. It does not receive, hold, convert or distribute money: support goes directly from the giver to the family, through the methods the family publishes. Levanta takes no commission and is free for families.

3. You control what's public

Nothing about your case is public until you publish it, and only what you choose to show is shown. Your exact address is never published. You can unpublish at any time and it stops being visible immediately. What happens from there — who contacts you and how you arrange support — is between the parties, not in Levanta's hands.

4. The verification badge

The badge shows WHAT was validated for each case: reviewed evidence, unit match, neighbor confirmations, field checks by verified organizations. It is information to decide with, not a guarantee: supporting is always the supporter's personal decision.

5. Levanta is a tool

Levanta organizes support: it records the information each person provides, validates it in layers with verifiable base data (evidence, unit, community, organizations) and makes every commitment and delivery traceable. It is not an authority and does not certify facts on its own: responsibility for what is published lies with whoever publishes it, and the decision to support lies with the supporter, with all validation information in plain sight. That process is what makes organizing help efficient and safe.

6. Your account and your content

You are responsible for the truthfulness of what you publish. An affected unit can only have one active verified family: attempting to claim someone else's unit, publishing false information or impersonating identities leads to suspension of the case and the account. All public content goes through human review before being shown.

7. Donations between people

Financial support happens directly between the giver and the family, outside the platform. Levanta shows the methods the family publishes and the traceability of commitments and deliveries, but is not a party to the transaction and cannot reverse it. Distrust anyone offering to "handle" or "convert" money on behalf of Levanta: report it.

8. Currency exchange and remittances

Some verified helpers offer, as a connection service, to receive foreign currency abroad or exchange dollars and deliver the equivalent by mobile payment to the family. Levanta does NOT receive, exchange, transmit or hold that money, and is not an exchange house, financial institution or remittance operator: it only puts the parties in contact. The operation, its terms and its legality are the exclusive responsibility of the helper and the family, who must comply with the law that applies to them. Levanta does not guarantee these operations or answer for them.

9. Organizations

Organizations access their own plane after signing a formal agreement with Levanta (responsible data use, neutrality, no charges to families). Levanta may suspend an organization's verification upon breach. Currency conversion or financial operations by an organization are its exclusive legal responsibility.

10. Limits of liability

Levanta is a connection and organization tool provided "as is", without warranties as to outcomes. We are not a party to the agreements, donations, deliveries, currency exchanges or any dealing between users, and we are not liable for the breach, quality, timeliness or legality of what people agree among themselves. Everyone supports and acts on their own decision and risk, with the validation information in plain sight. To the extent permitted by law, Levanta will not be liable for damages arising from use of the platform or from dealings between users.

11. Your responsibility and indemnity

You are responsible for what you publish, for the truthfulness of your data and for complying with the law that applies to you, including any rule on the movement or exchange of money. By using Levanta you agree to hold the platform and its team harmless from claims arising from your use, your content or your dealings with other people.

12. Applicable law and neutrality

Each user is responsible for complying with the laws that apply to them. Levanta does not provide financial, currency-exchange or money-transmission services, and does not intervene in any economic transaction. It is politically neutral and does not represent any side or institution. Nothing on the platform constitutes legal, financial or tax advice.

13. Moderation and suspension

We may unpublish content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, with human review and an audit trail. Disputes over a unit are always resolved by a person on the team.

14. Changes

If these terms change, we will update the date and announce it on the platform. Using Levanta after a change implies acceptance.
